Logo Design for University at Buffalo, Real Estate Club.

In 2020, in response to the pandemic, UB's MSRED program students launched UB's first real estate student organization to support networking, engagement with the professional community, and student leadership development.

About UBREC

The student-run UB Real Estate Club (UBREC) targets students in UB's MS in Real Estate Development program but is open to any student at UB with a passion for real estate. It seeks to help students form connections with other club members and with professionals in the real estate industry as well as create opportunities for students to dive deeper into topics of interest.

The student club works closely with the MSRED program's faculty members and an external Advisory Committee of local real estate professionals to cultivate outreach and professional development opportunities. Events include site visits, educational lectures from industry leaders, and networking events with WNY professionals in real estate.

Designing a Logo for UBREC

The club's president and the vice president decided to start this. They were looking for a cool but professional-looking logo to feature on the School of Architecture and Planning website and social media.

Real Estate Development is a valued component of the University at Buffalo's Architecture and Planning School. Therefore, I wanted to create an official logo that proudly expresses its connection to the university and its overall brand. I used UB's blue color combined with bold, uppercase typefaces to represent strength and trust. Finally, I decided to combine a city silhouette as a real estate symbol with the first letters of the University at Buffalo Real Estate Club (UBREC).

The final identity forms a clean, elegant design that aligns the club with well-known real estate companies.
